Introduction

Thyssas Thysev is an experienced investigator who has solved a large number of investigations in his career as a peace officer and a member of Starfleet. This same record has seen him become obsessed with the cases he has not been able to solve, especially the disappearance of his sister.  

Thyssas wishes to discover the fate of his sister and her crewmates about the USS Louisville.

Character History

Thyssas Thysev was born on Andoria to parents Eykas and Cavyh and was raised alongside his little sister Kila. The two were extremely close growing up and Kila would often be the butt of his practical jokes. He would ultimately prove his devotion to his sister when he participated in his first Ushaan at age 13 after an older child insinuated Kila was promiscuous. This impressive victory would inspire other people to challenge him in order to prove their skills. By the time he turned 18, he had become well known for his dueling prowess but he would abandon that life after the death of his parents. He would become Kila’s legal guardian and joined the Andorian Imperial Guard in order to provide for her

He excelled as a member of the Guard, earning a transfer to the major crimes task force based out of the capital city of Andor after only three years. It would be as a member of the task force that he would learn, criminal investigation, criminal psychology, small unit tactics, starship piloting, and space combat. His pride in his accomplishment was overshadowed by the pride he felt in Kila when she was accepted into Starfleet Academy on her first try. He continued to serve with distinction for the next four years and would earn a promotion to leader of his own unit within the Guard.

His life would change forever after Kila disappeared alongside the rest of the crew of the USS Louisville near Romulan space. This would prompt Thyssas to request a leave of absence from the Guard so he could investigate the disappearance himself. He was joined by the USS Ballard and would spend a week on location until the Starfleet vessel had to move on. The captain of the Ballard would be so impressed with his tenacity that Thysev was recommended for enlistment into Starfleet. He would accept with the caveat that he be allowed to join the security team of Nexus Starbase in order to continue his investigation of Kila’s disappearance.  

After five years into his posting, he would be recruited by Starfleet Intelligence in order to stop a terrorist plot to attack Qo’noS in hopes of starting yet another war. Thysev would go undercover inside the terror cell for weeks until he was in a position to learn that several members of the High Council were also involved in the plot. On the eve of the attack, he revealed the names of the Federation members involved before bringing his evidence to the Klingon leadership himself. The disgraced Council member would attack Thysev and engage him in a duel to restore his honor. The andorian would fight so savagely that he would earn the nickname “qeylIS puqloD SuD”, the blue son of Kahless, upon winning the duel.

While the additional resources of Starfleet Intelligence allowed him to continue the investigation into Kila’s, he disliked the secretive nature of its work. He would request a transfer and be assigned as a helmsman onboard the USS Grand River. The Grand River spent the next four years disrupting the operations of the Orion Syndicate until being destroyed by a traitorous officer. Feeling that he could have stopped the destruction of his home if he had only been in the correct department, Thyssas would transfer to the security department of the USS Hiroshima.

Personality

Thyssas is a warm and friendly individual who has an unwavering loyalty to Starfleet, especially his shipmates. This unfortunately means that he takes misconduct by an officer very personally. 

When Thyssas isn’t studying historical and fictional crime media, he can be found honing his dueling skills.

Thyssas Thysev is a short Andorian with a muscular build. Thanks to his past as a duelist, Thyssas keeps his silver hair high and tight in order to not be a liability in combat. During shipboard functions, he wears the standard duty uniform but will switch to a tactical variant reminiscent of Picard’s vest but with pockets.
